The animal species you are looking for here include all invertebrates (e.g. insects) that you have removed from the pond water using a dip net and transferred to the test plate. If you find spawn (i.e. amphibian eggs) in spawning strings or even spawn balls, tadpoles or other age stages of amphibians on the test plate, please return them to the pond immediately. Now please take a photograph of the test plate with the invertebrates on it. If possible, please make sure that the photograph is in focus so that the animals are clearly recognisable. This will give us an initial overview of the invertebrates present in your pond at the time of sampling. The invertebrates are then carefully placed one by one with the tweezers into the sample tube, which is then tightly closed.
